During its initial years, Tim Hortons Company focused on the Atlantic and Ontario regions in Canada. It later extended to other parts of Canada including western Canada and Quebec.

Named as Café and bake store in the United States, the company started its stores in the United States in the areas that extended into its borders such as Buffalo and Maine. Tim Horton, a hockey player, was part of Buffalo Sabres team. In 1981, Tim Hortons Stores were launched in Florida, Pompano, and Deerfield Beach and later in Minnesota inside American Mall.

Middle East
